John Morningstar

1949 - 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our loving Husband, father and grandfather John Morningstar. John was predeceased by his Wife of 46 years Sandra Barkley, his sister Rosie as well as his grandson Holden.

John is survived by his loving and caring partner Bev Wilcox. His sons Kevin Barkley (Lisa) and Ken Barkley (Cindy). He was a proud grandfather to Blake (David) and Chelsea (Jordan). John was the best fort builder with his three great grandchildren Jaxson, Hudson and Alexis. He also loved his extended family Bev's daughter Wendy and her children Alexis and Nash as well as Bev's son Dale (Andrea). John is also survived by sister Karen (Guy). He was loved by all his sibling like cousins Gerry, Sandra, Sharon and Mary Anne as well as many nieces and nephews.

John was always there to help who ever needed it. He had a love for the Fort Erie fire department where he served for over 15 years. He was a founding member of the Fort Erie Lafrance Association and was passionate on maintaining the antique fire apparatus for others to enjoy.

Cremation has taken place and was entrusted to Passages End of Life Services 241 Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeway, ON Memorial donations in John's name can be made to Fort Erie Lafrance Association at 1118 concession rd, Fort Erie, ON, L2A 6R2 or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
