Samuel Wowk

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Samuel Wowk at the age of 92. He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years Jeannie. He was predeceased by his son Rick (2023). He is also survived by his daughter in law Cindy and his 2 grandchildren whom he loved, Landon Foster (Noah) of Germany and Merrissa (Adam) Faller of California, his brother John of B.C. and his sister Mary Fournier of Alberta.

Sam went to school to become a Telecommunication officer graduating in 1950. He was a communication officer aboard ocean liners, which allowed him to see many interesting places. In 1956 Sam opened Ridgeway Auto Supply(NAPA) which he owned and operated for 60 years. In 1970 Sam earned his pilot's licence to fly private aircraft. He enjoyed many years flying his plane.

The family would like to thank Dr.Pinhas Ephrat, nurse Lisa, Dr Phillips, Dr Scher and Brodies pharmacy.

Passages - End of Life Services 241 Ridge Rd. N, Ridgeway ON (289) 475-2160 has been entrusted with final arrangements.

There will be a joint visitation and service held to honour Sam and Rick Wowk on Friday Sept. 8 at Williams Funeral Home 722 Ridge Rd. Ridgeway, ON. Visitation 11am - 1pm and the Funeral Service will follow at 1pm.
